We are just over a month away from the launch of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on Xbox, and Activision has finally showcased some of the game’s multiplayer modes in action. Remember, this year’s title is packed with classic CoD content, includingo all 2009 Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps – and this is evident in this reveal trailer.
We take a good look at several map remakes here, including classics like Terminal, Highrise, Rust, Favela, Estate, and more. While it seems a little strange to release a new title with purely remade maps, we’re pretty excited about it given that some of these levels are still amazing to this day.
Outside of the old-school map roster, we get a preview of first-person gameplay, and it looks very similar to last year’s Modern Warfare II, if we’re being honest. That’s not a bad thing, as Infinity Ward has definitely raised the technical bar with its latest Modern Warfare titles.
This bombastic new trailer is also backed by an Eminem song, which only adds more fuel to a visibly nostalgic CoD-flavored fire.
Are you all aboard the nostalgia train this year? Let us know if you’re excited to dive into these classic maps once again!
