Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia announced today that the PS4 Pro will be reduced in price in Japan. In this case, the console will start costing 39,980 yen from October 12th. It currently costs 44,980 yen.
The Glacier White color, which was released in limited quantities in March, will become a standard color in the country. Additionally, the Kingdom Hearts III PlayStation 4 Pro Limited Edition, which had been announced for 53,780 yen, will now cost 48,780 yen.
Sony also announced that a PlayStation VR bundle with PlayStation VR Worlds will be released on October 12th in Japan for 34,980 yen, just like the PS4 Pro bundle with Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26th for 42,980 yen.
Wall Street Journal reporter Takashi Mochizuki asked Sony if the price reduction would happen in the US and Europe as well. Sony responded that it has no comment at this time on this matter.
